Singapore Visa for Egyptian Citizens

No. The green Egyptian passport is not on Singapore's visa-free or visa-on-arrival lists. Every Egyptian national traveling to Singapore, for tourism, business, medical care, umrah stopover or a family visit, must obtain an eVisa before boarding the flight. The eVisa is issued by ICA and emailed to you; no embassy visit is required.

ICA rules require applications from Egyptian nationals to be filed by a locally registered sponsor or authorized visa agent inside Singapore. Our Singapore office at 68 Circular Road is registered as a visa agent and sponsors your file with a Letter of Introduction (LOI). You do not need to have a relative, employer or contact in Singapore to apply.

You must file the SG Arrival Card in addition to the eVisa. The eVisa is your permission to enter Singapore, valid for 63 days from issue. The SG Arrival Card (SGAC) is a separate electronic declaration that every traveler, visa holder or not, must submit within 3 days before arrival. Miss it and you can be held up at Changi immigration. You can add SGAC filing to your visa application as an optional add-on at checkout for a small fee, and our team completes it for you.

If you remain airside (inside the transit area) and continue to Jeddah or back to Cairo on the same booking within the transit window, the eVisa is usually not needed. If you plan to clear immigration, leave Changi, or stay overnight in a hotel, you must have the eVisa. We recommend applying for any layover longer than 6 to 8 hours or if your booking is split across separate tickets.

Under current ICA rules for Egyptian nationals, only Single Entry and Double Entry are offered. Multiple Entry is not approved for Egyptian passports on the eVisa track. For repeat business trips, either choose Double Entry to cover two journeys, or reapply before your next visit, most Egyptian clients receive a fresh visa within 3 to 5 working days.

Yes. Cards issued by Commercial International Bank, QNB Alahli, National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, AAIB and HSBC Egypt all work on our gateway, as long as international online payments are enabled on your card. If your card is EGP-only or capped for foreign transactions, your bank will simply reject the charge; in that case ask them to enable international online use or increase the USD limit for a day.

Three common workarounds for Egyptian applicants: (1) use a USD or multi-currency card if you have one, (2) ask a family member with an internationally enabled card to pay on your behalf, or (3) request an international bank transfer invoice from us and settle it from any Egyptian bank in USD or EUR. We'll send instructions via WhatsApp.

The ICA government portion of the fee is non-refundable regardless of the decision, that is Singapore government policy and applies to every nationality. Yes. Day 1 is your arrival day, the day you leave also counts. The maximum stay granted at Changi is 29 days per entry. The visa itself is valid for 63 days from issuance, during which you must enter Singapore at least once, otherwise it expires unused.

Hijab is accepted provided the full oval of your face is visible: forehead, eyebrows, eyes, cheeks, nose, mouth and chin must all be clearly seen, with no shadow. Niqab is not accepted because the lower face is covered. A neutral expression and plain white background are required. We review every Egyptian applicant's photo before filing to make sure it passes ICA's criteria.

Each traveler needs their own eVisa, including infants and children, because each is linked to an individual passport. You can however bundle the whole family in a single payment with us. We cross-check that arrival dates, hotel bookings and onward tickets match across family members to prevent any name or itinerary mismatch that ICA might query.

Yes. Singapore is consistently ranked among the world's safest cities, particularly for solo female travelers. Public transport runs 24/7, taxis are metered and regulated, and public order is strictly enforced. Hotels are fully comfortable receiving solo female guests from Egypt, with women-only floors available at several properties on request.

Only if it differs from your current passport. Use exactly the Latin spelling that appears in the MRZ (bottom machine-readable line) of your Egyptian passport. If older documents, flight bookings or hotel reservations show a slightly different transliteration, we always take the current passport as the reference and align everything else. Our pre-check spots this before submission.

Not by default, but ICA can request one on a case-by-case basis, especially for first-time travelers. We recommend having a 3-month bank statement ready, in English or Arabic, with a reasonable ending balance and salary deposits visible. If ICA asks, we'll guide you on how to upload the document without reopening the application from scratch.

Only if it expires less than 6 months after your Singapore arrival date. Egypt issues passports with 7-year validity; if yours is nearing that limit, renew first through the Egyptian Civil Status or a consulate abroad, then apply with the new passport number. Do not apply with an expiring passport and hope to update it later, ICA binds the visa to the passport number it was issued under.

Singapore Airlines and EgyptAir operate the Cairo to Singapore route (non-stop around 9.5 hours depending on schedule). Many Egyptian travelers also fly one-stop via Dubai (Emirates, flydubai), Doha (Qatar Airways), Istanbul (Turkish Airlines), Jeddah or Abu Dhabi. Your eVisa is valid regardless of routing and number of stops.

At Cairo check-in, the airline (EgyptAir, Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Saudia) scans the QR code or reads the visa number on your approved eVisa PDF. Have a color printout and a digital copy on your phone. Also carry the return ticket and your hotel booking, rarely requested but useful to have.

Answer in English (or ask for an Arabic-speaking officer, they are available at Changi on request). Hand over the passport, printed eVisa, SG Arrival Card confirmation and hotel voucher.
