The 18th annual Global Citizenship Conference, hosted by Henley & Partners, will take place in Singapore from 27–29 November. It is estimated to bring together over 400 delegates from more than 50 countries. This event is recognized as the largest conference on investment migration, drawing in prominent leaders, including presidents, prime ministers, top academics, advisors, and professionals in wealth management.
This year’s program will cover key topics like legal and economic shifts impacting global mobility, trends in wealth migration, and the evolving concept of citizenship. Attendees can explore how to leverage global mobility, tackle societal challenges, and understand the latest in regulatory and tax changes.
Dr. Christian H. Kalin, Henley & Partners’ Group Chairman, emphasizes the growing importance of global citizenship in today’s interconnected world, where wealth is increasingly seen as a tool for both personal and societal impact. “The Great Wealth Migration highlights a shift among the wealthy, who are rethinking reliance on any single nation for citizenship or residence,” says Dr. Kalin. The conference aims to inspire attendees to view global citizenship as a responsibility beyond borders, creating change both locally and globally.
Key speakers include Prime Ministers Dickon Mitchell of Grenada and Dr. Terrance Drew of St. Kitts and Nevis, as well as Mohamed Nasheed, former President of the Maldives. Notable insights will also come from global investor Jim Rogers, Climate Alpha CEO Dr. Parag Khanna, Professor Mehari Taddele Maru of Johns Hopkins, IISS Senior Fellow Irene Mia, and tech entrepreneur Balaji Srinivasan.
A highlight of the conference will be the 2024 Global Citizen Award Dinner on 28 November. A distinguished individual will be honored for their work on global challenges, with proceeds going to the Andan Foundation, a Swiss non-profit supporting refugee self-reliance through education and employment.
