Philippine Airlines (PAL) has announced a strategic year-long partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to boost travel between the Philippines and Singapore. This collaboration will also feature a series of promotional activities that showcase both PAL’s signature in-flight experience and the diverse attractions awaiting travelers in Singapore.
Key elements of the partnership include an engaging campaign fronted by well-known content creators, including Laureen Uy and her husband Miggy Cruz, as well as lifestyle blogger and fashion designer Camille Co. These influencers will share their travel experiences, highlighting the unique blend of cultural, culinary, and leisure activities available in Singapore.
In addition to the influencer campaign, the partnership will roll out a limited-time seat sale, offering special deals on airfare bundled with attractive accommodation and experience packages. This initiative is designed to give travelers more value, encouraging them to explore Singapore’s vibrant urban landscape, rich cultural heritage, and world-class attractions.
This partnership comes at a time when travel between the Philippines and Singapore is seeing a strong resurgence. In 2023, the Philippines emerged as Singapore’s 6th largest source market for tourism, with nearly 700,000 Filipinos visiting the city-state. This marked an impressive 84% recovery from the pre-pandemic visitor numbers of 2019. The momentum has continued into 2024, with close to 390,000 Filipino visitors recorded as of June.
The campaign will emphasize Singapore’s upcoming events and new attractions to entice Filipino travelers further. From the highly anticipated Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix to the reopening of iconic spots like the Peranakan Museum, Filipinos have never had a better time experiencing what Singapore has to offer.
