Travelers from London and Singapore can enjoy back to back flights from June of 2024. Singapore Airlines announced in a report with Channel News Asia that there will be flights between London and Singapore five days a week on December 18th, 2023.
There will be two flights (SQ309 and SQ310) taking off from Singapore on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On the return leg, the flights will depart from Gatwick Airport on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The first flight is scheduled for June 22, 2024, at 10:15 am (local time). There are flights four times daily from Heathrow Airport to Singapore. The new schedule will add more weekly flights to the list, adding up to 33 flights per week.
This will give travellers more options and flexibility to travel to and from Singapore and London. The tickets are starting to be available in different platforms.
Additionally, there will be 253 seats available in three different classes. Business classes will have 42 seats, Premium Economy will have 24 seats, and Economy class will have 187 seats.
Gatwick Airport would be the 14th destination where SIA conducts their flights. Although the time schedule might change later on, but currently the flight departure time from Singapore is at 11:55 pm and arrival in Gatwick is at 6:20 am.
This gives the passengers an early morning head start. Moreover, the timing also allows passengers from Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand ample time to catch an SIA flight.
“Customers will have an additional flight to choose from when flying between Singapore and the UK.” stated
Dai Haoyu, SIA’s acting Senior Vice President of Marketing Planning.
Additionally, he also mentioned that the flight between the two airports opens up more options for passengers to travel to Europe, saying,
“additional travel options to other points in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.”
It is fair to say that the extra flight route will increase the possibilities for both countries as well as travelers.
